In our society we have experienced some natural disasters. One of the deadliest includes Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Many were left devastated. 1,833 were dead and many more were left without a food, or shelter. Left homeless. The Red Cross Organization helped the people who were left with nothing. The sick and injured were tended to, and were given the food and care that they needed.

        Recently, in our own community, we experience a hurricane almost as devastating as Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Harvey. This hurricane was a category 4, it hit Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky affecting over 13 million people. In started on August 25th of 2017, and lasted for 6 days. 39,000 people were forced out of their homes after 1/3 of Huston was flooded in water.

        H.U.G.S for Help is striving to help those dealing with the side effects of these natural disasters. We raise money for organizations such as Red Cross in order to do our pert in helping those who have suffered.
